In Prophecies: Becon's perch to Droknar's Forge
Hello I Started Playing Guild Wars About a month ago and started with NF and beat it I bought Prophecies last week and am wondering about The Droks Run. Why do other players that play the game The right way killing monsters and getting to the gates of outpost and towns without running getting punished b/c other people are getting runs to get there and also the Henchmen in Becon's Perch are only lvl 10s and Me and everyone else is going up against lvl 20-28 x 4 or more I do have heros and they are lvl 20s but still the monsters are to strong and way to hard even for them can you please explain this to me b/c honestly i think its unfair to the people that play the game the right way I mean even with the Mission: Dragon's Lair Completed and transported there how is someone suppost to get there Exploration title if they cant explore this region b/c of the Mass-Monsters and High Lvl'd
Thank You For Taking The Time To Read This Sar Far Cain |

1: have you actually gone out with henchman? (until you answer this I really can't continue much)
2: fighting to Drok's is pretty easy. Get some heros and maybe a couple more people that want to go and fight your way there. I fight my way everywhere I need to go. |

To explore that area you start at the southern end in warcamp. there are level 20 henchman there and you can get groups of 8.

Most of the people who get runs to Droks have already been through the game and the character you see asking for the run is their alt. They do it so they don't have to go through most of the game to get the armor/skills that they need.

The run to Droknar's Forge from Beacon's Perch does not help with an Exploration title. Most players getting run are after max armor and, due to low levels and lack of armor/skills, die at the first battle after each portal.
They are left with a mass of unexplored area that they later cover using parties and higher-level hench from the outposts in the Southern Shiverpeaks. If you are trying to explore this area, take it slowly. Be careful about aggroing too many monsters at once. Check out the area monsters on guildwiki.org Here's a link to the Snake Dance page. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Snake_Dance |

first off, please use periods next time. my eyes are sore from trying to follow all that.
now, beacons perk is a tough place to travel through. but you are not supposed to travel through there until you reach lvl 20. and as has been said, the best way is to come up through snake dance, because of the lvl 20 henchies. as for the run, you do know that players being run dont receive any credit toward their explorer title. they die rather early and only the runner actually makes his way through the zone. so there is no issue there. |

Have a look at the quests in LA. One of them should be a primary quest, take it, then keep following the primary quest chain and you will get to droks. Yes you could get a runner and skip the maguuma jungle, but if your after explorer then you will need to go there sometime anyway.

drok's run is just the alternative way, faster way of getting to drok's...if you follow the primary quests it's a lot further but completely doable with henchmen...

Hey I know it seems wired but the run is for runners or large groups of 20 that path is not for ppl that are at beacons. Most ppl get someone to run them there so they can get there max armor its all for the armor. Then they go back and do the rest of the game so they only have to buy one set of armor and don't have to waste money on unwanted armor. Thats atleast why I have done it!

They made the Drok's run route insanely hard to stop runners. Personally I don't know about you people, but I find the campaign never gets old and getting run isn't worth it.
Your best bet, as said above, is to make your way from Camp Rankor or Deldrimor War Camp (later-game henchies such as Devona) and head upwards, though chances are if you can reach those areas you've been to beacon's. Snake Dance is really long, which is a pain if you need to cap from the bosses there. |

The Drok's Run is also not as useful if you have Factions or Nightfall because you can just go there and get max armor without doing too much work.

Kaineng center armor, accessible from LA F@#$ a droks run.
@op: you are complaining about apples tasting bad while holding an orange, WTF? If you want the mapping title, great, go get it. What the hell does the droks run have to do with it? Mapping isn't just about no resistance wall hugging... in Tyria a GMC means something *because* there are difficult out of the way, tricky areas, bugged access areas, and downright nearly screwy (Ruriks path?) stuff areas which GMC means you've adapted, survived against tough odds. Tough mobs of 25 ice imps in an area you want to map? make a build to demolish ice imps... |
